New Open Meeting format for Wareham meeting

On the First Friday of every month, the Wareham AA group holds an open meeting. We are changing the format.

Starting in September, the open meeting format will be a speaker meeting, with two or three visiting AA members from another group sharing their experience, strength and hope.
There will be open invitations to all local people, whether professionally or personally interested, to attend and find out what Alcoholics Anonymous is about.

AA meetings in prisons 2015

Dorset has three prisons in the County and members of Alcoholics Anonymous provide support and sponsorship to prisoners attending AA meetings while incarcerated. Many prisoners find this a lifeline, while others begin to recognise the part alcohol has played in their problems and to attend meetings on their release.

If you are a heath professional who would like to know more, or an existing member of AA who would like to get involved in prison service in North Dorset, or Portland,(subject to security clearance) please contact us via this website for further information.
