Welcome to the West Dorset Inter-Group (WDIG)web site, the home of Alcoholics Anonymous in all of Dorset apart from Poole and Bournemouth metropolitan areas, each of which have their own distinct intergroup. WDIG is the support organisation for AA groups throughout West Dorset. The area is bordered by Lyme Regis in the west, Wincanton and Shaftsbury in the north, Wareham and Swanage in the east and Weymouth in the south. This site offers information and help for all those who believe or suspect they have a problem with alcohol.

Our Primary Purpose
“Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.  The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions.  AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.  Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.”

In our pages you will find answers to these important questions:
